Literary Translations

The translation of literary works is a literary pursuit in its own right, and there are translators who concentrate specifically on this field. It should be noted that this field of work requires superior writing skills in both the source and target language, in addition to understanding the translation craft thoroughly.

Transmith T&I looks up to notable figures such as Vasily Zhukovsky, Jorge Luís Borges (left) and Haruki Murakami, who made a name for themselves in the literary translation world.

Transmith T&I is currently pursuing a membership into ALTA (American Literary Translators’ Association), one of the field’s most respected organizations.
